red and yellow black and white all are precious in His sight

we have this module called 'patient-doctor'. all along i thought it had to do with skills involving interviewing patients, history-taking and the like. turns out.. it's some sort of 'getting to know yourself and others' kinda thing. the first lecture is on teamwork... then we take this true colours personality profiling. are you an orange, gold, blue or green? [true colours? such a funny name. and the tune of the song got stuck in my head...] i'm blueee dabadee dabadaibadabadee.. we get into our colour groups and brainstorm on our strengths, weaknesses, stressors and needs/joys. the lecturer also tells us more about what each colour profile is like.

that's not the end of it! i had to turn in a short paper on a SELF reflection. it was so full of BS. i took a look at the transcripts from our seniors and one of the fil-ams had his self reflection paper in there. totally hilarious. to quote "only through patience, understanding, and personal reflection of my own true colour will the colours of the rainbow shine in me ... 'True Colors' has shown me what I am and who I want to be. Thank you 'True Colors'." total mockery of the whole exercise. hahaha

and this just keeps getting better. we were shown this super old video made by true colours. they wanted to show what happened when the different colours clashed. it was overly dramatised and oh-so-cliched, very painful to watch. the scary thing is that these people seem to take this profiling quite seriously.. the aim of all this is so that we can get all colours to shine equally..cos then we'd be. WHITE.. [i see your true colours shining..... and..]

but i guess i shouldn't complain cos this is one module that isn't so info-heavy. apparently we get to watch videos later on in the sem.. and write about how we feel. hahaha. this outta be fun.
