class 2010

cool! for once i have a nice class number. aaand we're the school's golden jubilee babies. [UERM turns 50 tomorrow] my class also has the dubious honour of being the smallest batch ever. classes aren't really in fulls wing yet, what with orientation and the celebrations and all.

i felt quite nervous on the first day of school. totally didn't know anybody! thankfully my cousin so kindly kept me company =) my surrogate mum for the day. we got to know the other foreingers in my class. they happened to sit in the same row as us. so i was introduced to all the fil-ams [filipino-americans] in my class. it feels a bit strange hanging out with them though. there are the fil-ams and then there are the filipinos. so i'm a freshwater fish, out of water, near the sea...

there was the usual slew of intro lectures which seemed to drag on forever. after that was lunch with some of the fil-ams and then running around various offices to settle school stuff. then i had to hang around til 3pm cos there was some mandatory freshmen thing. good grief. we had to sign in! we popped out heads in.. saw only about 30 of our class on stage playing some sort of game.. and immediately left. too freakin hot in the gym.

this is a rattled off narration kinda post. brain's fuzzing up cos it's time to sleep.
